At DTC Advisors, we believe that everyone is entitled to quality legal services for a reasonable price. Experience shows, and recent studies confirm, clients prefer a fixed rate for specified legal work rather than hourly fees. As such, in many cases, after the initial client conference, we will quote a flat fee to perform the work and implement the estate plan or to form a company or to administer the estate or trust. However, because of the complexity of certain matters, and perhaps the uncertainty as to the outcome, we may charge reasonable hourly rates of which you will be advised at the first meeting. In either event, all of our clients engage our firm by an engagement letter that outlines the work to be performed and clearly establishes the fees that will be incurred.
